1: 4140 steel introduction
AISI SAE 4140 alloy steel is a chromium molybdenum alloy steel
specification widely used in general purpose high tensile steel for
components, like axles, shafts, bolts, gears and other
applications. Similar to alloy grade AISI 4130 chrome moly alloy
steel but with a slightly higher carbon content. The higher carbon
content of AISI 4140 steel gives greater strength and heat
treatment capabilities in comparison to AISI / ASTM 4130 alloy
steels, however it does have inferior weldability characteristics..

4: 4140 steel mechanical properties
The mechanical properties mainly include tensile strength, yield
strength, elongation, area or reduction, hardness, impact value,
non-metalic inclusion etc. Different heat treatment, the mechanical
properties will be different, such as normalized, tempered, QT. If

For hot forged bar, usually the delivery condition is hot forged,
annealed/QT, rough turned/Black surface.
For hot rolled bar, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled,
annealed/QT, Black surface.
For hot forged block, usually the delivery condition is hot forged,
annealed/QT, milled surface/Black surface
For hot rolled plate, usually the delivery condition is hot rolled,
annealed/QT, black surface.
For cold drawn bar, usually the delivery condition is cold drawn,
annealed/QT, peeled/black surface
1.Q: Are you a trading company or factory?
A: We are specialized in Steel Plate (products) factory with kinds
of surface finished processes.
2. Q: WHICH MATERIAL/PRODUCTS YOU CAN PROVIDE?
A:Stainless Steel Coils / Strips, Stainless Steel Sheets / Plates,
Stainless Steel Circles / Discs, Decorative Stainless Steel.
3.Q: What is the MOQ?
A: 20 pcs for stainless steel sheet/plate, 2 tons for stainless
steel coil.
4.Q: What about the delivery time for the order?
A: It takes around 4-6 days for the regular models, and 7 to
15working days for the special sizes and processing. It is based on
the order quantity and requirement.
5.Q: Do you supply the samples for free?
A: Yes, we would send you small samples for free; the size is
80x110mm.And the sample book is 250x350mm. Most of models have
stock, and also can be customized and need around 4 to 6 days.
6.Q: What is your terms of payment ?
A: Payment<=5000USD, 100% in advance. Payment>=5000USD, 30%
T/T in advance ,balance before shippment.
7.Q: What about the quality control?
A: Every piece is selected carefully, strictly produced, and
produced follow the ISO9000 system.
8.Q: How do you protect the stainless steel sheet surface?
A: We have a high request for our quality, and each plate must have
the second layer PVC laser film, one layer is 7C thick, double
layers are 14c thick.
9.Q: Do you have any assurance for your stainless steel coils?
A: It will have the mill test for quality and material report for
each shipment
