Shuttle shelving is a high-density storage system composed of
shelves, shuttle trucks, and forklifts. It achieves automated
storage and retrieval of goods through the movement of shuttle cars
on shelf tracks. Shuttle shelves are divided into two-way shuttle
shelves and four-way shuttle shelves. The shuttle cars of two-way
shuttle shelves can only move in straight lines in the front and
back directions along the shelf track. The shuttle car of the
four-way shuttle shelf can move freely in four directions: front,
back, left, and right inside the shelf.
Working principle:
On the track of the shelf, the shuttle car can move horizontally.
When in stock, forklifts place the goods on shuttle trucks, which
transport them to designated locations and store them. When picking
up the goods, the shuttle car moves to the designated location to
retrieve the goods, and then the forklift takes out the goods.
