On the other hand, the SS317L has an improved corrosion resistant due to the lower carbon content. Therefore, the pipes and tubes are resistant towards sensitization as well. This makes the welding and thermal processes easier. Under the annealed condition, the pipes and tubes display their non-magnetic property. However, they show a slight magnetic property because of welding.
