1. Types of Mechanical Switches
Linear Switches:

- Usage: Favored by typists who enjoy audible feedback but can be noisy.
2. Switch Brands
- Cherry: The original manufacturer of mechanical switches, known for
reliability.
- Gateron: Offers smooth operation and is often considered a budget-friendly
alternative to Cherry.
- Kailh: Known for a wide variety of switch types and styles.
- Razer: Custom switches made for gaming, often featuring unique designs.
3. Factors to Consider
- Actuation Force: The amount of force required to press a key. Lighter switches
(e.g., Red) require less force, while heavier switches (e.g.,
Black) require more.
- Travel Distance: The distance a key travels before it's actuated. Most switches
have a travel distance of around 4mm.
- Durability: Mechanical switches can last for tens of millions of keystrokes,
making them more durable than membrane switches.
4. Customization
Many mechanical keyboards allow for switch swapping, enabling users
to customize their typing experience. Hot-swappable keyboards let
you change switches without soldering.
5. Sound Profile
Consider the acoustic properties of the switches, as this can
impact the typing experience, especially in shared spaces.

leave space for mechanical keys/LED and provide tactile indications
and better tactile feeling.
