Material and structure:
1. Substrate: The stampable thin steel plate is used as the
substrate, which has good strength and processing performance and
can meet the stamping, bending and other forming requirements in
the production process of food cans.
2. Tin-plated layer: The tin film is evenly plated on the steel
plate substrate through the electrolytic process. The thickness of
the tin layer is thin and uniform, and can be precisely controlled
according to different food packaging requirements.
Performance characteristics:
1. Excellent corrosion resistance: In the inner wall of a food can
filled with a complex mixture (or in a weak acid solution) and with
a certain vacuum, the potential of tin is lower than that of the
matrix material iron. Tin is the anode, and its dissolution
protects the iron; while its outer wall is in the atmospheric
solution, and the tin-plated layer is in a cathodic protection
state, with sufficient chemical stability, which can effectively
prevent the inner and outer walls of the food can from being
corroded.
2. High sanitation and safety: The tin layer itself is harmless to
the human body. During the food packaging process, it can prevent
iron from dissolving into the food and causing the food to change
its taste, ensuring the safety and hygiene of the food.
3. Good printing adaptability: The surface is flat and smooth, easy
to print, and can achieve exquisite patterns and text printing,
which can enhance the appearance and brand promotion effect of food
cans.
4. Good processing performance: It has good ductility and
lubricity, can withstand harsh processing processes such as
stamping, stretching, bending, etc., and can be made into food cans
of various shapes and sizes.
Application field:
