    • Rotary Compressors‌: Examples include vane type, scroll type, and swash plate type. They use rotating components to compress the refrigerant continuously.

    3.Discharge and Expansion Process‌:


    • After compression, the high-pressure, high-temperature refrigerant vapor is discharged into the condenser.

    • In the condenser, the refrigerant gives off heat to the surrounding air, condensing into a high-pressure liquid.

    • Meanwhile, within the compressor cylinder, there is a small clearance volume (residual volume) between the piston and the valve seat. As the piston starts to move down, this volume allows the high-pressure refrigerant to expand slightly, reducing its pressure before the intake valve opens.

    4.Intake Process‌:


    • When the piston reaches the bottom of the cylinder (bottom dead center), the intake valve opens.

    • Low-pressure, low-temperature refrigerant vapor from the evaporator is drawn into the cylinder, completing the cycle.

    5.Control Mechanisms‌:


    • Fixed Displacement Compressors‌: These compressors discharge a fixed amount of refrigerant per revolution, which increases proportionally with engine speed. They are controlled by turning the compressor clutch on and off based on temperature sensors and system pressure.

    • Variable Displacement Compressors‌: These compressors can adjust their displacement in response to cooling demand, providing more efficient operation. They use internal pressure control valves to vary the piston stroke length, thus altering the compression ratio and refrigerant flow.
