Ultrafiltration technology is a selective separation process that
utilizes the microporous structure on the membrane surface to
separate substances. By applying a certain pressure, the liquid
mixture flows through the membrane surface, allowing small
molecular solutes to pass through the membrane, while retaining
large molecular substances. As a result, the concentration of large
molecules in the original liquid increases, achieving the purpose
of separating, concentrating, and purifying large and small
molecules. The pressure used for this technology ranges from 0.1 to
3 bar.
Working principle
The ultrafiltration equipment operates based on membrane separation
technology. When water containing pollutants passes through the
ultrafiltration membrane, water molecules and small molecular
substances can pass through the membrane, while larger particles
and pollutants are retained on the surface of the membrane to form
a concentrate. This concentrate can be either discharged or further
processed after treatment.
The ultrafiltration equipment is equipped with a backwash system,
chemical dispersion cleaning system (optional), cleaning system,
and compressed air system. The working steps for this equipment
include an upper backwash (15-30s), lower backwash (15-30s), and
positive flushing (10-30s). Additionally, chemical enhanced
backwash (CEB) can be used when the water quality is particularly
poor or the quality fluctuates significantly.
