flakes. Its main production process is electrolysis. It is mainly
produced in China. Its main ingredient is manganese, the Mn element
content is 99.7-99.9%. The impurities are C, P, S, Fe, Si, Se.
The production of electrolytic manganese flakes involves the
electrolysis of manganese sulfate or manganese dioxide dissolved in
sulfuric acid. The process takes place in an electrolytic cell,
where a direct electric current is passed through the solution.
This causes the manganese ions to migrate towards the cathode
(negative electrode) and deposit as metallic manganese flakes.
