It mainly used as calcium additives, deoxidizer, desulfurizer and
non-metallic inclusion denaturant in steelmaking. It also can be
used as inoculant for cast iron.

Applications

Deoxidizer: Calcium silicon reacts with oxygen in the molten steel,
reducing the oxygen content and removing impurities. This helps
enhance the steel's cleanliness and mechanical properties.
Desulfurizer: Calcium silicon reacts with sulfur in the steel,
reducing the sulfur content. It helps control the level of sulfur,
which can negatively affect the steel's quality and properties.
