Z275 Galvanized Steel Description
Z275 Galvanized steel is a carbon steel sheet coated with zinc on
both sides,zinc is applied to the surface of the steel to provide
corrosion protection.The zinc coating adds a layer of protection
against bare steel from the natural elements that cause corrosion,
also provides longer protection for the steel through the action of
sacrificial anodes (zinc oxidizes more easily than iron),and
promote its longevity.
Z275 refers to the gi sheet’s coating weight designation, that is,
275 grams of zinc is coated on each square meter of the steel
surface. Galvanized steel is processed through a hot-dip
galvanizing process, where the steel is immersed in molten zinc to
form a durable protective layer.

Galvanized steel sheet is cut from galvanized steel coil, the base
material is cold rolled steel, it has good processing performance.
The galvanized sheet coated with a zinc layer,features a smooth,
flat,uniform thickness, strong adhesion, no peeling during
processing, good corrosion resistance,and excellent adhesion to
paint film. It can withstand high temperatures up to 315 ℃ and has
excellent surface conductivity. The surface is smooth and clean,
the size is accurate, the board surface is straight, the spangles
are even and beautiful.

Galvanized steel coils have high adhesion,corrosion resistance, and
precisely controlled coating thickness. In addition,Galvanized
steel is easy to process and weld, and also has a long service life
when exposed to the atmosphere.
- Excellent anti-corrosion:
Galvanised Steel has excellent corrosion resistance,the zinc
coating layer has better electrochemical protection on steel than
painting and plastic coating.It can last for decades of years
without any problem of peeling off,and also higher collosion and
scratch resistance.
Not only will the zinc coating play the role of a physical barrier
but also protects the steel underneath through electrochemical
reactions (sacrificial anode action) when the coating is scratched
or damaged.
Hot-dip galvanized steel coils maintain the processability of
steel, and the zinc layer is thin and uniform, which does not
affect the performance of steel during processing and forming.
Galvanized steel has good thermal resistance,can be used for long
time without discoloration below 230℃, and it will discolor when it
exceeds 250℃.
