3M™ High Performance Masking Tape 232 helps create clear paint
lines in medium temperature painting operations and is able to
completely peel off even hard-to-peel surfaces. The thick crepe
paper backing contains a solvent-resistant saturating agent that
resists penetration of latex and oil-based coatings.
3M™ High Performance Masking Tape 232 is ideal for masking around
corners and irregular surfaces. Rubber adhesives adhere immediately
and provide strong retention, resisting tearing, curling and
adhesive transfer when removed from surfaces, such as from EDPM
rubber forms. The tape shows excellent performance in demanding
applications and is an excellent paint masking tape.
This tissue paper backing is easy to tear, provides moderate
adaptability around corners and irregular surfaces, and can be torn
off cleanly. Natural rubber adhesives can bond paper, metal, wood
and painted surfaces well, with reliable retention and
adaptability. Under normal operating conditions, 3M™ High
Performance Masking Tape 232 can be removed in one go without fiber
stripping.
