    What is the heat soaking?

    Hest SoakTempered Glass also called heat soak toughened glass, heat soak hardened glass, and HST glass, which is produced by heating annealed float glass in a furnace to over 620°C. And after progressing from the furnace, the glass is rapidly cooled with jets of cold air, inducing compressive stresses to the surface while the center remains tensile. After tempered process, the glass will be put inside a chamber and raising the temperature to approximately 290ºC to accelerate nickel sulfide expansion. This causes glass containing nickel sulfide inclusions to break in the heat soak chamber, thus reducing the risk of potential field breakage. It is a kind of safety glass, widely used on construction and furnitures.
    Why do we heat soak test?

    Heat soaking processed which is make the nickel element change the environment, to make the nickel sulphide inclusions likely to break in the heat soak chamber, thus reducing the risk of potential breakages after installation.
