The SPNIS21 module is a compact and modular device designed to integrate seamlessly with ABB’s automation systems. SPNIS21 is a high-performance processor unit designed specifically for the System 800xA distributed control system. It is equipped with a robust multi-core processor and a lot of RAM, which can handle multiple tasks together and quickly process a lot of data, satisfying the needs of various industrial control applications. This processor unit has advanced diagnosis and defect cleaning functions, including comprehensive work log recording and a built-in web server for remote access and monitoring, which helps to quickly identify and handle potential issues.

The SPNIS21 processor unit is widely used in various jobs such as oil and gas, power generation, chemical processing, power systems, metal processing, food and beverage, pharmaceuticals, papermaking, textiles, cars, railways, and ships, satisfying the needs of chaotic control and automation applications. The SPNIS21 network interface module is the front end of every Cnet communication interface. It is the intelligent link between nodes and the Cnet, allowing any node on the network to communicate with any other node. It works in conjunction with the SPNPM22 module. SPNIS21 module is a single printed circuit board that occupies one slot in a MMU. The circuit board contains microprocessor based communication circuitry that enables it to interface with the IET800 module over a dedicated I/O expander bus.
