The AC800M controller is a series of guideway mounted modules, including the CPU, communication module, power module, and various accessories. There are several CPU modules to choose from, with varying processing power, memory size, and redundancy support. Each CPU module is equipped with two Ethernet ports for communicating with other controllers.There are also two RS-232C ports for point-to-point communication between the CPU and programming/debugging tools, as well as third-party systems and devices.

The PM860K01 is a powerful process management module designed for high-performance control and monitoring of industrial processes, offering advanced features for data processing and communication. The PM860K01 typically supports a variety of digital and analog inputs and outputs, enabling integration with numerous field devices such as sensors, actuators, and other control components. The PM860K01 operates effectively within a temperature range of -20°C to +60°C, suitable for diverse industrial environments. The PM860K01 module is generally mounted on a DIN rail or within a control cabinet, facilitating easy integration into ABB automation systems.

The PM860K01 supports standard industrial communication protocols such as Modbus, Ethernet, and other protocols, ensuring seamless connectivity with ABB control systems and third-party devices. The PM860K01 board contains the microprocessor and RAM memory, a real-time clock, LED indicators, INIT push button, and a CompactFlash interface. The ABB 3BSE018100R1 PM860K01 is a Processor Unit Kit (PUK). It is a key component of the AC 800M control system from ABB. The PUK is responsible for controlling and monitoring all other devices in the system, such as I/O modules, communication modules and operator terminals.

The PM860A controller base has two RJ45 Ethernet ports (CN1, CN2) for connection to the control network, and two RJ45 serial ports (COM3, COM4). One of the serial ports (COM3) is an RS-232C port with modem control signals, while the other left (COM4) is isolated and used for connection of a configuration tool. The CPU board contains the microprocessor and RAM memory, a real-time clock, LED indicators, INIT pushbutton, and a CompactFlash interface. Simple DIN rail attachment/detachment procedures, using the unique slide and lock mechanism. All headers are equipped with a unique Ethernet address that provides each CPU with a hardware identity. The address can be found on the Ethernet address label attached to the TP830 header.
