1. Functions and effects of TR Board
Signal reception and amplification: TR board is responsible for
receiving ultrasonic echo signals from the probe and performing
preliminary amplification processing on these signals. This step is
a key link in the ultrasonic imaging process and has an important
impact on subsequent signal processing and image generation.
Signal processing: In addition to amplifying the signal, the TR
board is also responsible for filtering and compensating the
received signal to remove noise and interference and improve the
signal-to-noise ratio and clarity of the signal.
Signal transmission: The processed signal will be further
transmitted by the TR board to the subsequent processing unit (such
as the SP board) for more complex signal processing and image
generation.
2. Position and structure of TR Board in ultrasonic diagnostic
instrument
TR board is usually located at the front end of the device and is
closely connected to components such as the probe interface board.
The HD11 series ultrasonic diagnostic instrument has a total of 4
32-channel TR boards, which are connected to each other in a chain
connection. The signal processed by the current TR board will be
superimposed on the next TR board, and the last TR board will pass
all the superimposed signals to the SP board for further signal
processing and image processing.
3. TR Board Maintenance and Troubleshooting
Regular maintenance: To ensure the normal operation of the TR board
and other hardware components, the ultrasound diagnostic instrument
should be regularly maintained and serviced. This includes cleaning
the inside of the device, checking the connection lines, testing
various functions, etc.
Troubleshooting: If the ultrasound diagnostic instrument has
abnormal images (such as dark channels, defects, etc.) or cannot
work properly during use, it may be due to a malfunction of the TR
board or other hardware components. At this time, you should first
check whether the external devices such as the probe and interface
are normal, and then gradually troubleshoot the internal hardware
components. If it is determined that the TR board is faulty, you
need to contact professional technicians for replacement or repair.
4. TR Board Failure Examples and Solutions
In actual applications, the TR board may have various faults, such
as partial transmission or reception path disconnection, gain
compensation circuit failure, etc. For these faults, you can
troubleshoot and solve them by following the steps below:
Switch probe: First try to switch to a different probe to observe
whether the image changes. If the fault still exists, the problem
with the probe itself can be ruled out.
Swap TR board: Swap the suspected faulty TR board with other normal
TR boards to observe whether the image returns to normal. By
comparing the image changes under different combinations, you can
determine which TR board is faulty.
Consult the maintenance manual: During the troubleshooting process,
you can consult the maintenance manual or related technical
information of the equipment to understand the working principle of
the TR board and common troubleshooting methods, so as to locate
and solve the problem more quickly.
