Description:
1. PHPA is short for partially hydrolyzed polyacrylamide.
2. BLUFLOC PHPA is a co-polymer of anionic character and high
molecular weight water-soluble polymer, which is primarily used as
a highly efficient fluid loss reducer, viscosifier and protective
colloid for shale’s and cutting in fresh water, calcium, sodium
brines and KCL mud systems. It is compatible with most of the
drilling fluid products, biopolymers, PAC, CMC. It maintains
borehole stability by preventing shale swelling and erosion.

7. Safe, non-toxic, hydrolytic stability, is not sensitive to the
change of pH value, anti-chlorine. Harmless, no-flammable and
non-explosive, it can be stored at room temperature, it cannot be
placed in the sun. It is slightly acidic, when skin contact, wash
immediately with plenty of water.
Key Applications of PHPA:
Oil Field Recovery: PHPA is often used as a flooding agent in oil field recovery to

phase, reduces the water-oil ratio, and improves the efficiency of
oil recovery.

collapse.
Wastewater Treatment: In wastewater treatment, PHPA acts as a flocculant, helping to
aggregate suspended particles into larger clumps, making them
easier to filter and settle.
PHPA's properties make it particularly effective in treating highly
saline water and other complex water environments. Its excellent
stability and long-lasting effects contribute to its widespread
use.

Functional Principle
1 | Flocculation Mechanism:
Adsorbing suspension particles, polymer chains entangle and
cross-link each other to form bridging, and make flocculation
structure enlarge and thicken, and has the functions of surface
adsorption and electric neutralization. |
2 | Reinforcing Mechanism:
PAM molecule chain and dispersed phase form bridging bond, ion bond
and covalent bond to increase combination strength. |
