Rainwater infiltration well is an energy-saving and environmentally friendly product, which can penetrate rainwater into the ground in time to reduce urban waterlogging, and also plays a very important role in the field of sponge city. The built-in stainless steel basket can hold the garbage generated by penetration, which is convenient for later cleaning. The product is formed by PE well as a whole, with uniform holes all around to facilitate infiltration and drainage. During the construction, the product is evenly backfilled with gravel outside, and the gravel is wrapped with geotextile to facilitate the infiltration of rainwater and supplement groundwater.

How It Works

1. Wastewater Inflow

When kitchen sinks or dishwashers are used, the wastewater that flows out contains:

• Fats and oils (hot oils in liquid form)

• Food particles

• Soapy or greasy water

This flows into the inlet of the grease trap.

2. Separation Process (Inside the Trap)

The trap is usually a simple chambered tank made of plastic (polyethylene or polypropylene):

• Gravity separation occurs:

  • Grease and oil float to the top (they are lighter than water)

  • Solid food waste sinks to the bottom

  • Relatively clean water stays in the middle

The tank is designed to slow down the water so these layers can form.

3. Outlet Pipe

Only the middle-layer water exits the trap and continues to the sewer or septic tank.

• The grease and solids remain trapped.
