Steel grade 25 is a quality structural carbon steel produced to the
requirements of DSTU 7809 and GOST 1050-88.
Classification: Quality structural carbon steel.
Products: Steel plates, sheets and coils, semi-finished products, rolled
sections including shapes.

Application:
Steel grade 25 is used to make flanges, bolts, axles, shafts,
latches, washers, levers, other fastenings and non-critical parts,
e.g. screws, bushes, etc. This steel is widely used for the
manufacture of parts subjected to thermochemical treatment
(carburizing, nitrocarburizing, nitriding, boriding), which
provides high surface wear resistance and hardness with low core
strength.
Welding
No welding restrictions except for thermochemically treated parts.
Welding methods: manual metal arc welding, submerged arc welding,
electric resistance welding.
