Movement Process
Power Generation:

The engine powers the hydraulic pump, which pressurizes hydraulic fluid.
Control Activation:

The operator uses joysticks or foot pedals to control the movement of the excavator. These controls are linked to the hydraulic system via pilot control valves.
Moving the joystick or pressing the pedal sends a signal to the control valves.

Hydraulic Fluid Distribution:

The control valves direct the pressurized hydraulic fluid to the travel motors loCATEEed in the undercarriage.
Travel Motor Operation:

The hydraulic fluid powers the travel motors, causing them to rotate.
The travel motors convert the hydraulic energy into mechanical energy, turning the drive sprockets attached to the tracks.
Final Drives Engagement:

The travel motors' rotation is transmitted to the final drives, which increase torque and ensure efficient movement of the tracks.
The final drives reduce the speed of the motor's output while increasing the torque, providing the necessary force to move the excavator.
Track Movement:

The final drives turn the drive sprockets, which engage with the track links.
As the sprockets turn, they pull the tracks along the ground, moving the excavator forward or backward.

Operator Controls
Joysticks and Pedals:

The joysticks and pedals control the direction and speed of the hydraulic fluid flow to the travel motors.
Pushing a joystick forward or pressing a pedal increases the flow of hydraulic fluid, causing the tracks to move faster.
Two-Speed Travel:

Many excavators have a two-speed travel system. A button or switch allows the operator to choose between high and low speed.
High speed is used for traveling across the job site, while low speed provides more power and precision for maneuvering in confined spaces or rough terrain.
