The compressor is the heart of the car air conditioning refrigeration system, and plays the role of suction, compression, and circulation pump. It mainly sucks the refrigerant from the low-pressure side, compresses it, increases its temperature and pressure, and then pumps it into the high-pressure side, and circulates back and forth.

Classification of compressors
Automobile air conditioning compressors are generally open volumetric structures. Except for some that are directly driven by auxiliary engines, most of them are connected to the engine by belts through electromagnetic clutches.
There are rotary and piston types, and there are ordinary compressors (fixed displacement) and variable displacement compressors. The biggest difference is that one is controlled by an electromagnetic clutch and the other is controlled by a solenoid valve.
