GI Wire introduction:
Electro galvanized wire is supplied in forms of coil wire, spool
wire, cut wire or U type wire.
Common gauge range: BWG6 - 22 - 34.
The zinc coating applied: mostly 10 to 25g/m2. Commonly 8-12g/m2
zinc coating for 0.8mm iron wire, 15-25g/m2 for 1.2mm to 1.6mm iron
wire.
Wire shapes: Round, flat, oval, crimped.
Tensile strength of electro galvanized steel wire: Mostly
40-85kg/mm2. 300-500mpa for low carbon steel wire, 900-1870mpa for
high carbon steel wire.
Materials: Carbon steel wire, mild steel wire, iron wire
Finishes: Electro galvanizing, annealed galv., electro galv. then
pvc coating.
Iron wire galvanized then plastic coated offers better corrosion resistance, longer service life and color
options.
Steel wire electric galvanized is mainly used in producing wire
fences, mesh netting and various industrial wire products.
