Black Aluminum Oxide also belongs to the group of electric corundum,it is made by high iron bauxite, high

alumina bauxite and iron oxide as main raw materials,then smelted in the electric arc furnace completely, then

made into different grit size after different processes of cooling,crushing ,screening etc.It has the characteristics

of moderate hardness,good self-sharpness,strong cutting force,not easy to burn the treatment and low cost.

3. Why black aluminum oxide has the outstanding advantages in polishing stainless steel Tableware?

Seen from the micro-structure of aluminum oxide,the alumina particles has the main grinding and polishing

effect,it is dispersed in micro-crystalline state,surrounded by the silica particles(lower strength).

When alumina particles are passivated to a certain extent in the grinding process,it will be separated from the

silica particles and fall off,then appears a new cutting edge again,which is similar to the principe of SG abrasive.

Therefore black fused alumina has the good self-sharpness,not easy to burn the treatment surface.

Compared with other higher hardness abrasives such as brown fused alumina ,black fused alumina has the

outstanding advantage of polishing stainless steel tableware:

its moderate hardness and good self-sharpness will generate little heat in the treatment surface,then hardly to

burn the treatment,finally achieve uniform and bright color.

4. How to use black fused alumina to polish the stainless steel?

When polishing the stainless steel,the common polishing method is to put several cloth wheels on the rotating

shaft of polishing machine.

Adding the bone glue or resin bond to the outer circle of the cloth wheels,then roll the cloth wheels in the plate

fulfilled with black fused alumina,ensure the outer circle of cloth wheels is evenly glued with black fused alumina,

then dry the cloth wheels. Then load it onto the polishing machine, when polishing machine rotates,the polished

part will be contacted with the outer circle of cloth wheel under a suitable pressure to finish the polishing.

In addition,black fused alumina is also available to produce sandpaper,sandbelts or convert into flap wheels etc

to polish the stainless steel and other products.
