    Nickle Alloy Flange, also known as a flange rim or flange, is a part that connects pipes to each other at the ends, and it is also used on equipment inlets and outlets for connecting two pieces of equipment, such as a reducer flange. A flange connection or flange joint refers to a detachable connection consisting of a flange, gasket, and bolt, which together form a combined sealing structure.


    Welding Process:

    • Required Equipment: A set of manual arc welding equipment, one handle-type angle grinder, one electric air hammer, and one straight edge.
    • Folding Welding Preparation: 1. Check and adjust the equipment to ensure normal operation; 2. Prepare φ4.0 J402 welding rods, which are preferably dried at 300°C - 350°C for one hour.
    • Folding Welding Process: 1. Assemble the cone and the large flange according to the drawing requirements, then divide the large flange into 8 equal parts; 2. Welding due to the thicker flange and larger groove, the use of segmental symmetrical, multi-layer welding is adopted.
    • Folding Welding Quality Requirements: The weld strength must at least match the strength of the base material. The weld surface should be flat and smooth, without defects such as burn-through, porosity, welding leaks, slag inclusion, undercutting, or incomplete welding. The weld reinforcement height should be less than 2mm.
    • Folding Notes for Attention: 1. When welding the base layer, always use J506 welding rod manual surfacing and welding with a small current. Strictly follow the welding process; 2: After welding each position, use a level to check the deformation of the flange plane; 3: While welding, use the air hammer to strike the weld to eliminate stress.

    Hastelloy B2 is a grade of Hastelloy whichis a nickel-molybdenum alloy. There are manydifferent grades of Hastelloy, which includesB-2. Grades of Hastelloy have each been optimized for a specific purpose. Molybdenummakes Hastelloy harder and stronger at hightemperatures. This alloying element and thecharacteristics itimbues into the material alsomakes it great for welding applications. Thesenickelalloys are easily fabricated and formed.They also exhibit good ductility and are able tobe cold worked. All grades of Hastelloy are considered to be acorrosion resistant alloy because each gradeexhibits superior resistance to variouscorrosive environments.Hasteloy has outstanding resistance to highly oxidizingcorrosives such as oxidizing salts and reducingagents, making it a great alloy to specify for applications used in moderate to severe corrosive environments.

    FINISHES

    • Hot rolled annealed and descaled. lt isavailable in strip, foil and ribbon. lt is used forapplications where a smooth decorative finish is not required. 2D- Dull finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling. Used for deep drawn parts and those parts that need to retain lubricants in the forming process. #2B-Smooth finish produced by cold rolling, annealing and descaling.A light cold rolling pass is added after anneal with polished rollsgiving it a brighter finish than 2D. #BA- Bright annealed cold rolled and bright annealed #CBA- Course bright annealed cold rolledmatte finish and bright anneal
    • Cold Rolled #2BA- Smooth finish produced by cold rollingand bright annealing.A light pass using highlypolished rolls produces a glossy finish.A 2BAfinish may be used for lightly formed applications where a glossy finish is desired inthe formed part. Polished -Various grit finishfor specific polish finished requirements.
