1. What is it used for?

This probe measures shaft displacement and vibration via eddy‑current sensing,

detecting shaft movement relative to the probe tip to monitor machinery condition and avoid failures.

2. What kind of measurement does it perform?

It performs non‑contact displacement and vibration sensing,

outputting an AC voltage proportional to shaft‐tip displacement.

3. What is the sensing range/gap?

Intended operating gap is around 0.25 mm to 1.27 mm (0.010″–0.050″),

though optimal calibration is typically set near 2.5 mm (100 mils) during installation for accurate mid-range response.

4. What's the output signal and sensitivity?

Approximately 3.94 V per millimeter movement (i.e. 100 mV/mil),

providing high-fidelity voltage output proportional to displacement.
