• Function

1.Preventing oil leakage: It is installed between the valve stem and the valve guide in the cylinder head. Its primary function is to form a tight seal to prevent the lubriing oil in the cylinder head from seeping into the combustion chamber along the valve stem. This can avoid problems such as carbon deposition on the spark plug, poor engine operation, and increased oil consumption caused by oil entering the combustion chamber. Meanwhile, it also prevents intake and exhaust gases from contaminating the oil in the cylinder head, keeping the crankcase and the combustion chamber sealed and separate from each other.

2.Ensuring proper lubriion: Although the valve stem seal needs to prevent a large - amount of oil from flowing, it also allows a small amount of oil to pass through to lubrie the valve stem. When the engine is running, the valve stem moves back and forth frequently in the valve guide. Appropriate lubriion can reduce the friction and wear between the valve stem and the valve guide, prevent the valve stem from getting stuck, and ensure the normal opening and closing of the valve, thus maintaining the normal operation of the engine.
