What is ADSS Cable?
ADSS (All-Dielectric Self-Supporting) cable is a fully non-metallic
fiber optic cable where the tensile strength is provided by
integrated elements like aramid yarns or stranded glass reinforced
plastic rods within the cable’s circular design. Fibers are
typically housed in polymer tubes protected by the cable structure.
ADSS cables are suitable for both distribution and transmission
lines, including live-line installations. Without needing a
separate support wire, installation is simplified and
cost-effective with a single pass.
