The GE IS200EROCH1ABB is an Exciter Regulator Options Card part of the EX2100 control system, supporting regulator functions in both simplex and redundant setups. Mounted in a single slot of Exciter Regulator Backplanes or Redundant Backplanes (ERRB), it plays a key role in enhancing excitation system versatility.

A key feature is its board ID device, which interfaces with slot-specific M1/M2 controls and stores barcode serial numbers, board types, and hardware revisions for easy tracking. A green LED on the faceplate indicates power status.

Functionally, it supports GE and third-party ground detectors, enables keypad and tool interfaces, and provides power to terminal boards. The keypad interface uses RS-232C (1200–38.4 K baud) via faceplate and backplane connectors, accommodating bezel-mounted keypads. The tool connector, a 9-pin plug, links external computers to the IS200DSPX board via RS-232C, with ground loop isolation from an integrated DC converter. Additionally, it supplies +70V DC to the IS200ECTB’s contact output section, ensuring efficient power distribution.
