PDC composite drill bit is the abbreviation for Polycrystalline
Diamond Composite (PDC) drill bit, which is composed of
polycrystalline diamond cutting blocks embedded or sintered into
the drill bit body. It is mainly used for drilling operations in
soft to medium hard formations. Its cutting teeth achieve efficient
rock breaking through diamond composite sheets, and in the mid to
late 20th century, it gradually gained attention due to the problem
of mud inclusion in plastic rock layers caused by roller drill
bits.
In the early stages of drilling, roller bits were limited by the
phenomenon of mud inclusion, which prompted the industry to try to
combine the characteristics of scraper bits and roller bits. With

bits are gradually replacing roller bits, but there are still

fatigue damage and is suitable for precise trajectory control in
directional wells and horizontal wells.

that of a three-cone drill bit, due to the greater drilling depth
and higher efficiency, the overall drilling cost can be reduced by
