Incoloy 800 Forged Rings are forged ring-shaped precision
components made of Ni-Fe-Cr-based superalloys, with the following
core features and applications:
1. Core attributes
▶Composition: Ni (30~35%), Cr (19~23%), Fe (balance), supplemented by Al, Ti, C
and other elements (low C design + Ti/C ratio optimization to
improve intergranular corrosion resistance).
▶Metallographic structure: Face-centered cubic lattice, the grains are refined and arranged
along the direction of force after forging, and the stability is
excellent.
2. key performance
▶High temperature resistance: It can work stably for a long time above 800°C, and is resistant
to high temperature oxidation, carburizing, and vulcanization.
▶Strong corrosion resistance: Resists corrosion from acids and alkalis, seawater, and
high-temperature media, especially against chloride stress
corrosion and cracking.
▶Mechanical strengthening: Forging eliminates internal defects, making the tensile strength
reach more than 550MPa, and the creep resistance and fatigue
resistance are much better than that of castings.
3. Manufacturing and standards
▶Forging process: Hot forging temperature 800~1200°C, through die forging/ring
rolling forming, and then through solution treatment to optimize
the structure.
▶Standard compliance: ASTM B564 (forging specification), ultrasonic flaw testing (UT),
grain size testing (ASTM No. 5 or above) is required for key parts.
4. Typical applications
▶Petrochemical energy: Cracking furnace flanges, ethylene furnace tube bearing rings,
hydrogen reformer manifolds (800°C+ high temperature media
corrosion resistance);
▶Nuclear power field: Steam generator ring seals (resistant to high temperature and high
pressure water corrosion);
▶High-end equipment: Gas turbine combustion chamber ring, high temperature heat
exchanger tube sheet (to withstand thermal cycling and pressure).
5. Comparative advantages
It has 30% higher high temperature resistance than pure nickel
alloys and 50% stronger resistance to complex corrosion than
stainless steel, and the forging process further strengthens the
mechanical properties, making it a core bearing component under
extreme working conditions.
