laminated onto the surface of the LCD. Main types:
Resistive Touch: Low cost, resistant to surface contaminants (dust,
water), works with any object. Lower transmittance, relatively less
durable (scratches), usually no multi-touch.
Capacitive Touch: High transmittance, sensitive and smooth touch,
supports multi-touch, durable (glass surface). Higher cost,
requires finger or special stylus, sensitive to water/oil on
surface.
