immediate urban delivery, reducing the delivery time to 15 minutes.
Meanwhile, SF Express has launched the Fengyi Wuxuan 40 drone for
short-distance end delivery services. With a 10-kilogram load
capacity and a flight range of 20 kilometers, it can effectively
overcome terrain limitations and save time costs.
Support from Technological Advancements: The continuous maturation
of drone-related technologies has made it possible for 10KG
industry transportation drones to develop. The improvement of
flight control technology enables drones to fly more stably. For
example, the JD "Jingque" drone is equipped with high-precision
millimeter-wave radars and redundant flight control systems,
allowing it to fly stably in adverse weather conditions. At the
same time, the development of sensor technology has enabled drones
to have intelligent obstacle avoidance capabilities, allowing them
to sense obstacles in real time and automatically plan flight
paths, with a positioning error of less than 1 meter, ensuring
flight safety.
Policy Environment Optimization: In recent years, local governments
have successively introduced policies to support the development of
low-altitude aviation, gradually opening up low-altitude airspace,
creating favorable conditions for the logistics application of
unmanned aircraft. For instance, JD jointly released the "Urban
Low-altitude Logistics Operation Specifications" with the Civil
Aviation Administration of China, becoming the first national
standard for drone delivery in China, which helps to regulate the
industry development and promote the application of various types
of drones with a 10KG payload and other capabilities in the
logistics field.
Industry Application Expansion: Besides logistics delivery, many
industries have a demand for 10KG-class unmanned aircraft. In the
agricultural sector, they can be used to transport pesticides,
seeds and other materials, improving agricultural production
efficiency. In emergency rescue scenarios, they can transport
urgently needed supplies such as medicines and food to
disaster-stricken areas. For example, in January 2025 during the
snowstorm in Xinxiang, Henan Province, JD's "Jingque" unmanned
aircraft delivered over 2 tons of medicines and food to the
affected villages. In the power and communication industries, they
can transport small components for equipment maintenance and other
work.
