Foundation Use Steel Structure Helical Piles Round Shaft Screw Anchor

A helical pile is an end-bearing deep foundation system with compression and tension applications. Applying torque to the shaft installs the helical pile with no vibration, no spoils and minimal disturbance. Loads are transferred down the shaft onto the helical plates to the load-bearing strata above and beneath each helical plate. The torque required to install the helical pile correlates to its capacity - the greater the resistance (torque), the denser the soil, and the higher the load-carrying capabilities.

New Construction

Helical piles are excellent for new construction in tension or compression to support a variety of structures ranging from industrial, commercial, institutional, infrastructure and residential applications from one to thirty stories.

Retrofit

Well adapted to the challenges that occur in retrofit applications helical piles are great for adding more capacity to an existing foundation for repairs, remediation or renovation.

Slope Stabilization

Material

Steel pile pile material shall conform to ASTM A 500, Grade B or ASTM A252 Grade 3, minimum

Helix shall conform to CSA-G40.21, GRADE 300W

Helix shall be welded to the pipe section using a conitnuous fillet weld on both sides of the helix pipe connection.

All welded is 6mm fillet.

Construction Process

Helixes are installed on high-strength steel pipe piles, twisted into the ground by rotational force, and reinforced by grouting. The upper and lower ends of the steel pile have excellent stability in both compression and tension by friction or support.

The size and number of helical rotors can be adjusted according to geological and self-weight conditions.
