Core Functions
Load bearing: By filling the inside with compressed air, the
compressibility of air is used to bear the weight of the equipment
or structure.
Shock absorption/vibration isolation: The elasticity of air is used
to effectively absorb and isolate the impact and vibration from the
operation of the equipment itself (such as vibrating screens,
punching machines) or the external environment (such as uneven
ground).
Leveling/height adjustment: By changing the internal air pressure,
the support height can be accurately adjusted to keep the equipment
or structure level.
Provide flexible support: Compared with metal springs or rubber
pads, air springs provide lower stiffness and softer support, with
better vibration isolation effect and lower natural frequency.
Key Structures and Materials
Rubber bladder: This is the main body of the bladder, which is made
of multiple layers (usually 3-5 layers) of high-performance
synthetic rubber (such as natural rubber, chloroprene rubber,
nitrile rubber) and high-strength cord layers.
Rubber layer: Provides air tightness, weather resistance, oil
resistance, chemical resistance, ozone resistance, wear resistance
and certain elasticity.
Cord layer: Embedded between rubber layers, usually made of
polyester, aramid or steel wire. This is the "skeleton" of the
bladder, bearing most of the load, and determines the bladder's
load-bearing capacity, pressure resistance and shape stability. The
arrangement angle of the cord (usually close to 54.7°) has an
important influence on the stiffness and deformation
characteristics of the bladder.
