Introduction to Vacuum Pressure Impregnation Equipment (VPI)
Vacuum pressure impregnation equipment (VPI) is mainly used for the impregnation treatment of H-class dry-type transformers, and is suitable for the impregnation treatment of dry-type transformer coils with paper insulation. It can also be used for the impregnation treatment of electrical products such as on-board transformers of electric locomotives and coils of electrical products, as well as the asphalt impregnation treatment of refractory materials.
The working principle of vacuum pressure impregnation equipment (VPI) :
First, the insulating varnish is degassed in a vacuum environment.
Then, it is conveyed to the impregnation tank containing the
products to be impregnated through a pressure difference (special
insulating media need to be transported by a pump). As the
insulating varnish can fully penetrate into the gaps of the product
coils in a vacuum environment, a certain pressure of air (or
nitrogen) is applied to the surface of the impregnated product
varnish. This further enhances the penetration ability of the
insulating varnish and significantly improves the insulation
strength of the coil.
Features of vacuum Pressure impregnation equipment (VPI)
The lid of the vacuum pressure impregnation tank is opened
hydraulically, with two mechanical protections and one electrical
protection. This ensures that the lid cannot be opened under vacuum
and pressure conditions, guaranteeing the safety of operation. A
liner tank is set inside the tank for product placement and paint
immersion, ensuring that the tank itself does not come into contact
with the paint. When cleaning, only the liner tank needs to be
lifted out, which is convenient for work. The specially designed
interface enables the liner tank to be automatically connected once
placed in the immersion tank, without any leakage. Between the
impregnation tank and the paint storage tank, two paint delivery
pipelines, one for delivery and the other for delivery, are
adopted, and there are two filters with different functions, which
ensure the quality of the paint.
According to the types of paint currently used in China, our
company offers different configurations such as normal temperature,
refrigeration and heating to meet the needs of different customers.
Refrigeration (heating) can be carried out in the paint storage
tank or on the conveying pipeline. If the output is large, one
paint storage tank can be equipped with two impregnation tanks,
which not only improves production efficiency but also reduces
investment.
