1. Dot Matrix Display
Dot matrix display consists of multiple pixels that can independently emit light (such as LED dot matrix). By controlling the pixels to light up or go out, you can display any characters, graphics, or even simple animations.
Advantages
Flexible display: Supports custom characters, numbers, symbols, simple icons (such as up/down arrows), and can even display information other than floor numbers (such as "Under maintenance" "Full load" etc.), adapting to diverse needs.
Strong expandability: The display content can be adjusted through programming. If additional display information (such as advertisements or notifications) is needed later, there is no need to replace hardware; only the program needs to be updated.
Good visual effect: The pixels emit light evenly, providing high visibility in low-light environments, and can be adjusted for different lighting conditions.

2. Segment Code Display
Segment code display uses fixed light-emitting segments to display characters (most commonly 7-segment codes for displaying numbers 0-9, which can also be expanded to 16-segment displays for small letters). The structure is simple, usually consisting of LED light-emitting diodes.
Advantages
Low cost: The hardware structure is simple, the production process is mature, and the driver circuit design is straightforward. It is suitable for large-scale batch applications and can effectively reduce the cost of elevator outbound call systems.
Low power consumption: only need to light up the corresponding number of segments, with few glowing points, far lower energy consumption than dot matrix display, meeting elevator energy-saving requirements.
Strong stability: Fixed number of line segments, few fault points, high durability, and strong interference resistance. It is not easily damaged in common elevator environments such as dust and vibration.
Intuitive display: The digital display is clear, especially in environments with complex lighting (such as hallway lights or natural light). The numbers are highly recognizable, allowing users to clearly see the floor at a glance.

3. LCD display (Liquid Crystal Display)
LCD display controls light transmission through the deflection of liquid crystal molecules to display text and graphics, divided into segment LCD and dot matrix LCD (mainly referring to dot matrix LCD here, which can display more content).
Advantages
Rich display content: Supports displaying numbers, text, icons, simple graphics, and even information beyond the floor level (such as elevator status, estimated waiting time). The information capacity far exceeds segment code and LED dot matrix.
High visual comfort: The LCD display has no strong backlighting sensation, providing soft light. In bright environments, it can maintain clarity through backlight adjustment, suitable for long periods of viewing, enhancing user experience.
Lower Power Consumption: Compared to LED dot matrix, LCD (especially passive LCD) consumes less power and the backlight can be turned on as needed (automatically lighting up when it's dark), further enhancing energy savings.
High aesthetic appeal: The screen is flat with delicate display effects, can be designed with narrow borders and personalized interfaces, enhancing the overall texture of the elevator call panel.
