Lab IEC 60112 PTI And CTI Tracking Index Tester
Introduction:
The tracking index tester is a special testing instrument
developed, designed and manufactured in strict accordance with GB
4207, IEC 60112, JIS C 2134 and other standards. It is suitable for
research, production and quality inspection departments of lighting
equipment, low-voltage electrical appliances, household appliances,
machine tool electrical appliances, motors, power tools, electronic
instruments, electrical instruments, information technology
equipment, and is also suitable for insulating materials,
engineering plastics, electrical connectors, and accessories
industries. It simulates the determination of the tracking index
and the resistance tracking index under humid conditions, and has
the characteristics of simplicity, accuracy, reliability and
practicality.
Tracking test is a test method used to evaluate the insulation
performance of electrical equipment, IEC 60112. This test is used
to detect whether the insulation materials of electrical and
electronic products are prone to leakage and arcing (i.e. tracking)
in humid environmental conditions.
Test principle:
It is used to evaluate the tolerance of the surface of solid
insulating materials under the combined action of electric field
and contaminated medium, and to determine its comparative tracking
index (CTI) and proof tracking index (PTI);
Comparative Tracking Index (CTI): The highest voltage value that
the surface of the insulating material can withstand 50 drops of
electrolysis (0.1% ammonium chloride aqueous solution) without
forming a leakage trace, in V.
Proof Tracking Index (PTI): The voltage required for the material
surface to form a permanent conductive carbon path after
withstanding the action of 50 drops of electrolyte at a rate of one
drop per 30 seconds, expressed in V.
Sample requirements
1. Plates and sheets with a diameter of 30 mm or more, or length
and width greater than 30 mm; thickness > 3 mm, samples can be
stacked, and the surface is flat;
2. Testable voltage: up to 600 V.
Main feature:
1. The combustion box is painted, beautiful, and
corrosion-resistant; all sample racks are made of stainless steel.
2. The equipment consists of a voltmeter, an ammeter, a time-delay
overcurrent relay, a power supply, a circuit control system, a
button switch, a signal light, etc.
3. The automatic dripping device includes a dripping cylinder, a
dripping nozzle, a counting device, a dripping counting device, a
dripping control device, a dripping volume measuring tool, etc.
4. The drip nozzle device is adjustable; the height is adjusted to
30-40mm; ensure that the dripping position is between the two
electrodes.
5. The electrode device includes a platinum electrode, an electrode
fixing device, a 4mm gauge, etc. The electrode is adjustable and
detachable.
6. The electrode is 5mm wide and 2mm thick, 99.9% pure platinum,
and has a 30~60 degree tip.
7. The pressure of the electrode on the sample is adjustable, with
an adjustment range of (1.00N±0.001N); the electrode distance is
4.0mm ± 0.01mm, and the angle is 60°±5°.
