1. What is the main application of this proximity probe housing?

This assembly is used to mount proximity probes on the exterior of industrial machinery such as compressors, turbines, and pumps for real-time vibration and position monitoring.

2. Can this housing assembly be used in hazardous environments?

Yes. It is CSA-certified as explosion-proof (Type 4), making it suitable for use in hazardous and flammable industrial zones.

3. Can I use this housing with longer sleeves?

Yes, but for sleeves longer than 12 inches (304 mm), Bently Nevada recommends using additional sleeve support (e.g., PN 37948-01) to reduce vibration and maintain probe stability.

4. Is it compatible with other probe types?

This specific part number is designed for 3300 XL 8mm probes. However, other variants in the 21000 series support NSv, 11mm, and different cable lengths.
