Working principle:
The core working principle of the powder vibrating screen is based
on the periodic vibration generated by the vibration motor or
exciter. The vibration source drives the screen body (screen box)
and the screen to generate high-frequency vibration, so that the
material presents a throwing or sliding motion on the screen
surface, thereby realizing the screening and stratification of
particles. The specific process can be divided into the following
stages:
Vibration generation: Through the rotation of the eccentric block
inside the vibration motor, or the alternating electromagnetic
force of the electromagnetic exciter, a periodic exciting force
perpendicular to the screen surface is generated.
Material movement: The material is affected by the vibration on the
screen surface, showing a jumping or spiral motion trajectory. Fine
particles pass through the screen holes into the lower screen or
collection device, and larger particles move along the screen
surface to the discharge port.
Stratified screening: During the vibration process, the material
forms natural stratification due to differences in density and
particle size. Small particles sink to the surface of the screen,
accelerating the screening efficiency; large particles are blocked
and eventually discharged.
Structural composition of powder vibrating screen
The powder vibrating screen is mainly composed of the following
components:
Screen box: the main structure that carries the screen and
materials, mostly made of carbon steel or stainless steel, with
multiple layers of screen frames inside.
Screen: the filter medium fixed on the screen frame, single-layer
or multi-layer installation is selected according to the mesh
requirements.
Vibration motor: the core component that provides exciting force,
usually installed on both sides or the bottom of the screen box,
with a power range of 0.25-5.5kW.
Shock-absorbing spring: the elastic support connecting the screen
box and the base, used to absorb vibration energy and reduce the
impact on the foundation. The material includes steel coil spring
or rubber composite spring.
Base frame: the rigid structure that supports the screen body,
which must have sufficient strength to withstand dynamic loads.
Feed port and discharge port: the feed port is located at the top
of the screen box, and the discharge port is set on the side or end
according to the number of screening layers.
Screening mesh number of powder vibrating screen
Screening mesh number is an indicator to measure the size of the
screen aperture, which is defined as the number of screen holes per
square inch (25.4mm×25.4mm). The larger the mesh number, the
smaller the screen hole, and the corresponding particle size is
finer.
Relationship between mesh number and particle size: The mesh number
range is usually 20-600 mesh, and the corresponding screen hole
size is about 850μm to 25μm. For example, the aperture of 200 mesh
screen is about 74μm.
Screen material selection:
Metal screen: stainless steel or low carbon steel wire weaving,
wear-resistant, suitable for high temperature or corrosive
environment.
Nylon/polyester screen: flexible material, suitable for screening
easy to agglomerate or sticky materials.
