1. Axial Positioning and Support
• Limits axial movement of the camshaft to maintain precise valve
timing, enhancing engine efficiency and performance.
• In Fuwa trailer brake systems, for example, the gasket prevents
axial displacement of the camshaft under load, ensuring stable
operation.
2. Sealing and Leak Prevention
• Fills microscopic gaps between the cylinder block and cylinder
head to prevent air leakage from the combustion chamber and water
leakage from the cooling jacket, ensuring coolant and oil
integrity.
3. Vibration Damping and Noise Reduction
• Absorbs engine vibrations to improve smoothness and extend engine
lifespan.
4. Lubrication Protection
• Features eccentric annular oil grooves (offset by 4mm) and radial
straight oil slots, with grooves on both sides oriented 180° apart
to lubricate and protect the entire mechanism, reducing dry
friction.
Materials
1. Copper
• Commonly used for Fuwa camshaft thrust gaskets due to its
excellent thermal conductivity and wear resistance. However,
thin-walled copper components are prone to deformation, requiring
strict process control during manufacturing.
2. Alloy Steel (Quenched)
• Some Fuwa camshaft gaskets are made of quenched alloy steel for
enhanced hardness and wear resistance, suitable for high-load
applications.
3. Non-Metallic Composite Materials
• Self-lubricating materials like PTFE (polytetrafluoroethylene) or
graphite may be used for specific temperature or lubrication
conditions.

• Inner diameter:φ90mm(process inner hole size for clamping during
machining)
• Parallelism requirement:0.02mm(parallelism between the two flat
surfaces)
2. Machining Tolerances
• Thickness tolerance:4 ± 0.03mm(copper components are sensitive to
temperature changes, requiring tight tolerance control)
• Groove depth tolerance: During rough machining, the product
thickness tolerance is set to(5 ± 0.1)mmto ensure the groove depth
meets drawing requirements.
