About Composited Geotextile Membrane
Composite geomembrane is made of geotextile (base fabric can be
filament or short fiber needle punched geotextile ,woven geotextile
)and high polymer by calendering and hot-melt technology .It
remains the mechanical properties of base fabric and uniformity of
film which improve the impermeability .Embossed processing on the
film strengthen its friction coefficient,stability and easy for
installation .
Application scenarios of composited geotextile membrane
Composite geomembrane is a multi-layer composite material that
combines anti-seepage and reinforcement functions. Its application
scenarios are wide and diverse, mainly covering the following
areas:
Environmental protection and sanitation engineering
- Landfill: Used as bottom anti-seepage layer and cover layer to prevent
harmful substances from penetrating into soil and groundwater and
prevent secondary pollution.
- Sewage treatment pool: As an anti-seepage isolation layer, it prevents sewage leakage from
polluting the surrounding environment and is suitable for
industrial wastewater treatment such as chemical industry and
electroplating.
Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering
- Reservoirs and dams: Used for anti-seepage reinforcement of dam bodies, such as the core
anti-seepage layer in the South-to-North Water Diversion Project to
reduce the risk of leakage.
- Channels and artificial lakes: Layed on the inner wall of the channel or the bottom of the
artificial lake to prevent water loss and improve water storage
efficiency.
- Hydropower stations and cofferdams: Reinforce the dam foundation, drain groundwater, reduce seepage
pressure, and ensure structural stability.
Agriculture and breeding
- Fish ponds and reservoirs: As lining materials, it is corrosion-resistant and UV-resistant,
reduces water leakage and prolongs service life.
2. Irrigation system: Used for orchard drainage, pond dam covering, and optimizes water
resource utilization efficiency.

Technical standards and tests
1. Key standards
ASTM D6636: Test the interlayer peel strength of composite
geomembranes to ensure the bonding quality.
GB/T 17642: Standardize parameters such as geomembrane thickness
and puncture resistance.
2. Quality control
Use scanning electron microscopy (SEM) and atomic force microscopy
(AFM) to detect the microstructure of the membrane surface and
optimize the anti-seepage performance.
