Plastic biaxial grid is a major geosynthetic material for bx
geogrids. Compared with other geosynthetics, it has unique
properties and functions. Biaxial geogrids are often used as
reinforcement materials for reinforced soil structures or
reinforcement materials for composite materials.
Geogrids are divided into four categories: plastic geogrids,
steel-plastic geogrids, glass fiber geogrids, and polyester
geogrids.
Product Introduction
Biaxial plastic grid is made of high molecular polymer through
extrusion, plate forming, punching process and then longitudinal
and transverse stretching. This material has great tensile strength
in both longitudinal and transverse directions. This structure can
also provide an ideal interlocking system for more effective force
bearing and diffusion in the soil, which is suitable for large-area
permanent load-bearing foundation reinforcement.
During the manufacturing of biaxial plastic geogrid, the polymer
polymer will rearrange and orient itself during the heating and
stretching process, which strengthens the connection between
molecular chains and achieves the purpose of improving its
strength. Its elongation is only 10% to 15% of the original plate.
If anti-aging materials such as carbon black are added to the
geogrid, it can have better durability such as acid resistance,
alkali resistance, corrosion resistance and anti-aging.

Plastic Biaxial Geogrid Uses:
Plastic biaxial geogrid is suitable for various dam and roadbed
reinforcement, slope protection, tunnel wall reinforcement, large
airports, parking lots, dock cargo yards and other permanent
load-bearing foundation reinforcement.
1. Increase the bearing capacity of the road (ground) foundation
and extend the service life of the road (ground).
2. Prevent the road (ground) surface from collapsing or cracking,
and keep the ground beautiful and neat.
3. Convenient construction, saving time and effort, shortening the
construction period and reducing maintenance costs.
4. Prevent cracks in culverts.
5. Strengthen the soil slope and prevent soil erosion.
6. Reduce the thickness of the cushion layer and save construction
costs.
7. Support the stability of the slope grass net mat and green the
environment.
8. It can replace the metal mesh and be used for the false roof net
in coal mines.
Construction method of plastic biaxial BX grid:
When plastic biaxial grid is used for roadbed and pavement, dig the base bed, set the
sand cushion layer
(height difference is not more than 10cm), roll it into a platform,
lay the grid, the longitudinal axis should be consistent with
the main force direction, overlap 15-20cm longitudinally and 10cm
horizontally, tie the overlap with plastic tape, and fix it
to the ground with U-shaped nails every 1.5-2m on the laid grid.
The laid geogrid should be backfilled with soil in time,
and the number of laid geogrid layers depends on the technical
requirements.
