Description:
PP Nonwoven Geotextile is a versatile and high - performance
material that plays a crucial role in various engineering and
environmental projects. It can be made from polypropylene (PP) or
polyester (PET) fibers. With a wide range of weight options from
100G/M² to 1200G/M² and widths from 1m to 6m (in some cases up to
8m), it can be customized to meet different project requirements
Production process :
The production process of polypropylene non-woven geotextile mainly
includes the following steps:
Opening:
loosen the polypropylene short fiber raw material to make it a
loose fiber state.
Combing:
comb the opened fibers to make the fibers more neat and straight,
and remove impurities and short fibers.
Web laying:
evenly lay the combed fibers into a fiber net of a certain
thickness and width.
Needling:
repeatedly needle-punch the fiber net with a barb needle to make
the fibers entangled and embraced
with each other to form a non-woven geotextile with certain
strength and stability.
Consolidation and shaping:
hot pressing or chemical treatment of the geotextile after needle
punching to further improve the
dimensional stability and mechanical properties of the geotextile

INSTALLATION :
1. Pre-Installation Preparation
A. Site Inspection
Clear debris, sharp stones, and vegetation.
Grade the surface to remove unevenness (max. 5cm protrusions).
B. Material Handling
Store rolls on flat, dry ground (avoid UV exposure).
Use fabric slings or forklifts to prevent edge damage.
2. Installation Steps
A. Unrolling & Positioning
Method:
Roll out parallel to the direction of expected stress (e.g., road
traffic).
Overlap edges by 30–50cm (seams subject to movement).
Avoid:
Dragging geotextile over rough surfaces.
Wrinkles or folds (compromises soil-fabric interaction).
B. Anchoring (Temporary Fixing)
