Geotextiles are permeable non-woven fabrics used for separation,
filtration, reinforcement, protection or drainage. Geotextiles
allow the filtration or separation of particulate layers in road
and rail applications, films for protection in landfill
applications, for coastal defense applications, and for landscaping
to protect surfaces and structures from weeds and root growth.

·As a filter layer for wells and pressure relief wells, it balances
the pore water pressure of the soil.

Material property requirements
1. Mechanical properties
- Tensile strength: longitudinal/transverse breaking strength ≥11kN/m
(CRTSⅡ type lower geotextile has higher requirements).
- Burst strength: ≥4.3kN (700g/㎡ specification).
- Friction coefficient: ≤0.35 to reduce wear and extend life.
2. Durability
- Acid and alkali resistance, mildew resistance: polypropylene fiber
has excellent chemical stability and is suitable for long-term
exposure to concrete alkaline environment.
- Design life: 700g/㎡ polypropylene geotextile can meet the service
requirements of high-speed rail for more than 70 years.
3. Construction adaptability
- Flexible specifications: single roll length ≥32m, width 2.5-2.9m,
easy to lay on site.
- Thickness control: the thickness of the lower geotextile is
3.0-3.5mm, and the upper layer is 1.8-2.2mm, which can meet the
needs of different structural layers.
Precautions
· Construction suggestions: It needs to be used with other
materials (such as HDPE membrane) to enhance the anti-seepage
effect.
· Storage requirements: Avoid humid and high temperature
environments to prevent fiber degradation.
