Glass fiber geogrid Material structure and function
Glass fiber geogrid is made of high-strength glass fiber yarn
through warp knitting process to form a base material, and the
surface is coated with modified asphalt or other polymer coatings
Its grid structure (such as 12.5×12.5mm, 25.4×25.4mm and other
specifications) forms a mechanical interlocking effect, enhances
the tensile strength of the asphalt layer, and reduces reflective
cracks and rutting deformation
Core Characteristics :
High strength and low elongation: The tensile strength can reach
100-200kN/m (such as EGA200-200 model), and the elongation at break
is less than 3%, which is suitable for long-term load scenarios
Temperature resistance: The applicable temperature range is -100°C
to 280°C, which is suitable for high temperature environment of
asphalt paving
Corrosion resistance: Glass fiber material is acid and alkali
resistant, waterproof, and UV resistant, which prolongs the service
life of the road
Lightweight: It is lighter than traditional steel, convenient for
construction and reduces transportation costs
