1)Descriptions of Herringbone Gear

The herringbone gear is a type of gear composed of left and right symmetrical helical teeth.

Its tooth profile is arranged in the shape of a "person" character, equivalent to the combination of two helical gears

with opposite rotational directions.

2)Features of Herringbone Gear

a) It adopts a double helical tooth design, and usually has a retraction groove in the middle (or a seamless continuous structure).

b) The contact line on the tooth surface is in the shape of a "V", and the meshing process is smooth with no axial thrust.

3)Advantages of Herringbone Gear

a) Eliminate axial force: The axial forces of the left and right helical gears cancel each other out, reducing the load on the bearings and making the system more stable.
