Low mold cost apportionment (for mass production): Although the
initial production cost of injection molds may be relatively high,
in mass production, the mold cost apportioned to each unit product
will be significantly reduced. For example, for an injection mold
with a production cost of 200,000 yuan, if the production quantity
reaches 1 million products, then the mold cost apportioned to each
product is only 0.2 yuan. This cost apportionment mechanism makes
the impact of mold cost on the unit price of injection molded
products relatively small in mass production.
