Plate Heat Exchangers
Gasket plate heat exchanger is a type of heat exchanger. It is
characterized by high heat transfer coefficient; Easy to repair and

Introduction
It is made of a lot of stamped corrugated sheet at a certain
interval, sealed by gaskets around, and superimposed by the frame
and compression spiral, the four corner holes of the plate and
gasket formed a fluid distribution tube and a collection tube,
while reasonably separating the hot and cold fluid, so that it
flows in the flow channel on both sides of each plate, through the
plate for heat exchange.
Working principle
The gasket plate heat exchanger consists of a set of metal plates
with four corner holes on the plate for both hot and cold media to
pass through. When assembled, A plate and B plate are alternately
arranged, a network channel is formed between the plates, and the
sealing pad seals the hot and cold media in the heat exchanger,
while reasonably separating the hot and cold media without mixing.
In the channel, the cold and hot fluid flow at intervals, can be
countercurrent or along the flow according to the need, in the flow
process of the cold and hot fluid through the wall heat exchange,
so as to achieve the desired effect.
Plate heat exchanger is an important part of heat exchange
technology in process industrial equipment. The elastic gasket that
seals between the individual plate heat sinks is a wearing part and
is also a part that is prone to aging under natural conditions. Its
service life has an important impact on the service life of plate
heat exchangers. If these seals are heat-hardened and lose their
original elasticity, the heat exchanger can not work properly.
The following factors have an important impact on the service life
of the elastic gasket:
- How the heat exchanger works (continuous or discontinuous)
- Corrosivity of cooling media and cleaning agents used
- Maximum operating temperature
- Maximum working pressure
- The stress of the elastic gasket is large due to excessive
pressure and unbalanced pressure
- Natural aging.
