The Realkey Cross Belt Sorter is an innovative solution designed to
efficiently handle a wide range of items, including parcels and
cartons. This advanced system integrates critical components such
as tracks, carts, cart belts, recognition technologies, and
communication systems. The carts are arranged in a continuous chain
along the track, moving parallel to create a mainline that
intersects with the cart belts, giving the system its name, "Cross
Belt Sorter." Items can be loaded onto the cart belts either
manually or automatically, and as the carts approach designated
sorting stations, the control system activates the belts for
precise sorting.
Available in two configurations—circular and linear—cross belt
sorters are built for high performance. Circular models can achieve
sorting speeds of up to 2 meters per second, capable of processing
as many as 22,000 items per hour. Linear models, operating in a
straight line, can reach speeds of up to 1.5 meters per second and
handle up to 8,000 items per hour. These systems are widely used in
industries that require high throughput and multiple sorting
directions, including express delivery, e-commerce, apparel, food
services, cosmetics, airports, and pharmaceuticals.
