Product Description
Teflon bellows integrates advanced material science to solve thermal mismatch
challenges in high-performance systems. The PTFE liner's negative
coefficient of thermal expansion (-10.5×10⁻⁵/°C) counteracts the
positive expansion of metallic piping, reducing residual stresses
during temperature excursions. Combined with ASME BPE-compliant
corrugated bellows, the assembly maintains structural integrity
under vacuum conditions (<10⁻⁶ Torr) and full vacuum cycles.
Certified for fire-safe applications (ASTM E119), the stainless
steel reinforcement ensures containment integrity even during
catastrophic failure scenarios. This makes it particularly valuable
in oil refinery reformers, solar thermal energy systems, and
chemical vapor deposition reactors where thermal shocks are
routine.
