ASTM A268 TP430 Stainless Steel Tube is a ferritic stainless steel tube that offers good corrosion resistance, oxidation resistance, and thermal stability at elevated temperatures. It is commonly used in heat exchangers, automotive exhaust systems, boilers, and furnace components. TP430 provides excellent performance in moderately corrosive environments and under high-temperature conditions, making it an ideal choice for industries such as chemical processing, petrochemical, power generation, and food processing. With its good weldability, thermal cycling resistance, and mechanical strength, TP430 is a reliable material for a variety of applications where heat transfer, durability, and performance under stress are key.

Chemical Composition(%):

- Chromium (Cr): 16.0% - 18.0%

- Nickel (Ni): 0.75% max

- Manganese (Mn): 1.0% max

- Silicon (Si): 1.0% max

- Carbon (C): 0.12% max

- Phosphorus (P): 0.04% max

- Sulfur (S): 0.03% max

- Iron (Fe): Balance

Mechanical Properties:

- Tensile Strength: ~ 480 MPa (70,000 psi) (typical)

- Yield Strength: ~ 205 MPa (30,000 psi) (typical)

- Elongation: ~ 25% (in 50 mm gauge length)

- Hardness: ~ HRB 90 (typical)

Physical Properties:

- Density: ~ 7.70 g/cm³

- Melting Point: ~ 1400°C (2552°F)

- Thermal Conductivity: ~ 25.4 W/m·K (at 100°C)

- Specific Heat: ~ 460 J/kg·K

- Modulus of Elasticity: ~ 200 GPa

- Thermal Expansion: ~ 11.5 × 10^-6 /°C (at 20°C to 100°C)
